The Perfect Group is the brainchild of businessman Paul Smith and celebrated chef Richard Phillips, who began his career under the Roux Brothers in 1989, created in response to their mutual love of fine dining. They own a number of exclusive restaurants, each known for its unique style and decor, all recognised for the same distinctive and wonderfully presented food.
Their first collaboration was Thackeray's, an elegant French restaurant in royal Tunbridge Wells. Launched in November 2001, it was awarded a Michelin star within its first year.The Group then expanded in 2005, taking over the Hengist restaurant in Aylesford. Following a lavish refurbishment, the restaurant provides a luxurious dining experience for those looking for the finest corporate and social dining venue. Richard Phillips at Chapel Down is the next piece in the jigsaw, opening in the summer of 2008 the restaurant combines luxurious cooking alongside England’s finest vineyard.
