The cookery school season begins in January ’09 at Chapel Down restaurant (near Tenterden) using the state of the art culinary facilities of this purpose built restaurant. A choice of options are available to guests including:
The Beginners Course:
An opportunity to view Richard creating a typical three course meal. The day begins at 9.30 for coffee and pastries, includes a light lunch with wine and offers guests the opportunity to interact with Richard throughout the day, ask questions and understand the process a top chef employs to create a superb meal.
Only £85 per head.
The Intermediate Course:
An opportunity to work directly with Richard in a small group of only 4 people. This offers all guests the chance to test your cooking skills and get Richards advice on how to prepare that sumptuous feast. Includes a QA session with Richard, wine tasting of the award winning Chapel Down wines, 2 course lunch with wines to match each course at the exclusive chef’s table and a selection of Chapel Down wines to take away. Start time 9.30am for coffee and pastries.
£375 per head.

The Richard Phillips Cookery School at Chapel Down offers an ideal location for exclusive or private hire for team building, staff rewards or client entertainment. We can create a bespoke cooking experience for your company or organization tailored to your requirements. Catering is a profession where teamwork is absolutely vital with preparation and co-operation essential for a successful kitchen to operate. A team building day enables your group the opportunity to experience the buzz of a working kitchen, learning essential skills and techniques along the way.
