Clare, I just wanted to say a very big ‘thank you’ to you, Martin and the team for last night’s reception. The evening ran very smoothly and the food was fantastic – a lot of people commented on it. The guests last night were some of our major donors and so they are really important to the Hospice. There is no doubt that all had a very enjoyable time and I am sure that will mean that they will continue to support us.

Floortje SimmsPerfect Catering provided catering for our wedding in October, in the village of Biddenden in Kent. They were recommended to us by our local favourite chef, who runs a Michelin starred restaurant, and we were delighted that Perfect Catering were available to cater for our 40 adult and 10 child guests. The food was fabulous. We started with their Gold menu of canapés, and some real favourites with the guests and ourselves were the Warm Sautéed Sea scallops with wild chive cream sauce, and the Smoked duck roulade with apricot chutney, though all were excellent. We had wanted an informal dinner so after the canapés we moved onto chilli, served with jalapenos, tacos, tortillas and sour cream, and again this was snapped up by the guests and tasted wonderfully authentic. Dinner was followed by exquisite fresh cream assorted roulades, and magnificent cheeses. We both enjoyed the food immensely, and the compliments we received from our guests.
In addition to providing an exceptional culinary experience, the quality of the management and staff was exemplary. We were delighted by the smooth and organised management provided by Martin, our manager for the day. He succeeded in keeping the food and drink flowing at exactly the right pace, in a sometimes hectic kitchen with guests who insisted on congregating in front of the oven and the fridge and other inconvenient places, an over excited labradoodle on the hunt for food at every opportunity she could snap up and children of various ages generally getting underfoot. In addition, we adjusted the running schedule of the day several times as our group of family and friends set their own pace, and Martin adapted easily to all of the changes and smoothly kept his staff and kitchen engaged in flawless execution of their serving and cooking tasks. I knew it was going to be a marvellous experience when I first met Martin in the kitchen before the wedding and asked what he needed of me; he replied that all I needed to do was go and get married and have a wonderful day. And so I did. Of course, we realise that the smooth running of the day had been facilitated by the excellent upfront planning for the day from our lovely account manager, Clare.
The waiting staff were also each and every one of them of a very high quality. They struck the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism, and at the end of the wedding day I had to inform all the female members of my family that no, they couldn't take John home with them. He had made himself a firm favorite by keeping the ladies champagne glasses topped up and serving pizzas in the attic room to some over-excited and hungry children.
All things considered, we could not have wished for anything more from Perfect Catering for our big day. They made a wonderful day absolutely perfect, and we will certainly hope for opportunities to avail of their services again in the future.
